Karen Knapton, the Chairman of the East Riding Primary Care Trust (PCT), will be attending the January meeting of Skirlaugh Parish Council, at her request, in order for her to gain a greater understanding of local health needs. She will also discuss the new community hospital planned for Beverley.
The PCT funds mental health, acute hospital and community services; they provide district nursing, health visiting, school nursing and therapy services. They also promote health services and work with GP practices, pharmacists, dentists and optometrists.
Miss Knapton would like to find out what issues matter to the community and has invited the parish council to put forward questions and comments relating to the services provided by the PCT.
The Parish Council would therefore like to hear from you about your concerns and queries on health issues.
